Awakening Publications launched its latest book The Art of Integration by renowned photographer Peter Sanders. This full colour hardback title includes a foreword by HRH Prince Charles. The launch took place at the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) in association with MOSAIC.

The launch also saw the opening of The Art of Integration exhibition and included a panel discussion chaired by BBC's Mishal Hussain. The Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary Rt. Hon. Jack Straw MP was the keynote speaker and highlighted the contribution of British Muslims to British society.

Awakening Records artist Mesut Kurtis launched his latest album 'Beloved' at the Jeddah branch of Virgin Megastore, Saudi Arabia. The launch was attended by Mesut's Saudi fans and attracted significant media attention.

"It was a truly fascinating experience. This is the first time such an event has taken place in Saudi Arabia and hopefully not the last..." commented Mesut.

AE2 artists Maher Zainand Mesut Kurtis performed in Sweden and Algeria at two national events in October 2009. Both artists performed in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

AE2 also arranged two concerts in Algiers and Wahran hosted by the Algerian Ministry of Culture (ONCI). In total 20,000 fans attended these concerts.
