Awakening
Worldwide signs an exclusive agreement with the
world's most renowned reciter of the Quran and Imam
of the Grand Mosque of Kuwait City, Shaykh Meshary
al-Afasy (left of picture). Awakening is pleased to announce that
it will be producing Shaykh al-Afasy’s first
ever live recording of the Quran.
Recorded during Ramadan 2009 in California, USA,
this production is to be released as a box set by
Awakening in April 2010 and will be available worldwide.
Shaykh al-Afasy is regarded as the foremost reciter
of the Quran in the world today. |

He
has two satellite channels in the Middle East airing
his Quranic recitations and supplications and is
known by millions around the world. This agreement
demonstrates Awakening's commitment to new markets
and opportunities.

Badawi. 'Man and the Universe: An Islamic
Perspective' elucidates the Islamic

Dr. Badawi has authored several books
including 'Sufi Sage of Arabia: Biography

Zain wins Nugoom FM's
Best Song Award |

'Ya Nabi Salam Alayka' track by Awakening
Records artist Maher Zain has won the
Award for Best Religious Song for 2009
on Nugoom FM, the biggest mainstream
radio station in the Arab World. Maher
received 23,000 votes, seeing off the
competition from leading Middle Eastern
stars Hussein Aljasmi, Mohammad Mounir
and Sami Yusuf. |
